Elizabeth Martland De Alwis does not remember a time when she didn't paint or draw. Sketching people, dogs, clouds, cats, buildings, hilltop trees & boats since her teenage years.
Since becoming obsessed with light & shadows after discovering Edward Hopper at the Brighton College of Art while studying Illustration, she began her quest for unusual compositions to paint.
Living in The Bahamas for 10 years added warmth to her palette and she now sees colour in a landscape, even on a grey January day.
The exhibition of Paintings begins with a Preview day on Saturday 13th November where the gallery will be open until 7pm. It continues until Christmas Eve 2021. Please RSVP to the Preview Day.
The Gallery / Exhibition is open Friday - Sunday 11am - 4pm.
