About the Event
A Partnership between The Quay Theatre, Suffolk County Council, and Babergh DC, this Activities Club for 8-12 year olds runs for 4 days from Tuesday 19th - Friday 22nd April 2022 in the Easter break, and will be run by The Quay but based in the Scout Hall on Quay Lane.
This club is FREE to children within the 8-12 age group who are on the FREE SCHOOL MEALS SCHEME. By booking this free option, you agree to a check that you are on the Free School Meals Register and will allow The Quay to access this information from the School your child attends or from the local council to confirm this.
Each day will be timetabled around creative and theatrical workshops based on an Easter theme and will include an hour's physical activity and a free lunch meal. The capacity is limited to 20 children with 3 supervisors along with external supervisors for physical activities. The days will run from 10.30am - 2.30pm except for a later finish on the first day when the children will get to watch a show free in the Quay auditorium! (The McDougall's Theatre Co. - 'The Big Splash'). Children are to be picked up at 3.00pm on that Tuesday.
It is important that your child is available to attend on all 4 days.
Upon booking, you will be asked for certain details such as any medical conditions/ allergies etc. It is important that the correct information is supplied for us to meet the dietary requirements of individuals.
If your child has mobility or access needs that we need to accommodate , please contact the Theatre Manager - manager@quaysudbury.com and, if we are able, we will do our best to accommodate any individual needs.
The deadline for booking this provision is 11th April at 12pm but may end sooner if capacity is reached before then.
Once the deadline has arrived, you will be advised of our timetable, which will include theatrical subjects such as lighting, sound effects, stage fighting and stage sets, designed with 8-12 year olds in mind!
Above all this is NOT school and the emphasis is on fun and personal growth in a safe and friendly space!
