Knitted poppies crafted by local volunteers given a new lease of life to help raise funds for 2021 Poppy Appeal
As part of Remembrance in Sudbury in 2018 and 2019, 23,000 knitted poppies, crafted by generous community volunteers, hung from St. Peter’s Sudbury for a poignant Remembrance installation. In 2018, this community poppy cascade marked 100 years since the end of WWI. Once again community volunteers have stepped up to help with a new idea the 2021 Poppy Appeal.
Our Sudbury Community #poppyappeal2021 display continues to grow with your continued support.
To be a part of it just pop(py) into Sudbury Tourist Information Centre (Mon-Sat) on Gaol Lane and in exchange for a donation for this year's appeal we'll give you a few community knitted poppies to add to St Peter's railings.
