SVF regulars Faye Newton and Steven Devine are joined by the leading cornett player Jamie Savan. Motets and madrigals of Claudio Monteverdi, virtuoso and highly expressive by turns, are matched by equally enticing music by Merula, Marini, Donati, Calestani, Rossi & others.
