POLICIES & PROCEDURES
AND KEY GOVERNING DOCUMENTS

Our key governing documents are:

  • Standing Orders: The constitutional rules governing the conduct of council meetings, committee structures and the duties of officers.

  • Financial Regulations: The mandatory framework regulating the council's financial management, budgeting, procurement and expenditure control.

  • Code of Conduct: The statutory ethical standards that all elected councillors must follow during their public service.

These documents collectively ensure that public funds are safeguarded and that council business is conducted openly. By adhering to these controls, the council prevents the misuse of power and guarentees that local services are delivered efficiently under the rule of law.
